Diadem (originally with a comb fitting), measuring app. 5 1/2 inches across (measured at bottom of arch) with the frame measuring app. 3/4 inch wide, featuring faceted coral beads in an ornate, open work frame, fashioned in gilt metal. Circa 1810.

The tiara can be secured in the hair with hair pins, or by a ribbon attached to the ends and tied around the forehead.
